Wearing pajamas isn’t just for bedtime any longer! Sleep wear can be a fashion statement! The “just out of bed” look is great for the street scene. You can have fun mixing ultra casuals with jeans, denim shirts, blazers or sweaters.

We want the hottest, sexiest sleep wear pieces that feel like melted butter next to our skin at night. Today’s sleepwear is so versatile that many use it as outer-wear. Camisoles are sleeveless tops with matching undies that can be worn under a jacket or denim shirt and jeans. Camisoles are great for showing off those toned arms. Very sexy!

A bustier can also help improve the cleavage when needed.

Draw-string pants can also be used as street wear. Stylish draw-string pants are popping up everywhere today. Men are wearing them alone or with casual shirts or solid T-shirt. Women can wear them as casual lounge wear or out to the store.

Flannel draw-string pants are another stylish wear. Pajama tops can be worn with jeans for street wear. Making a new fashion statement isn’t easy or the faint-of-heart. Fashion is about confidence.

The fit and cut of denim is important when you’re picking out a pair. Besides the fit and cut, color is another important factor.

Dark denim is a wardrobe fundamental that every man should have. A good way to start is to have a dark blue pair and a black pair. Nipping and tucking the length of your denim, the waist and even the leg of your pair of jeans (narrow and straighten them or tapering) will ensure your jeans look like they were just made for you.

Black is a tougher color to find – most denims come in various shades of blue so if you find a black one that fits, take it and be sure to follow the washing instructions to properly maintain its color vivacity. How often you wash your jeans is all dependent on your personal preference.

Black washes are perfect for those seeking a slimmer silhouette. Be it causal work days, dinner dates and after parties. A dark wash will also allow a semi-formal look when paired with dress shoes and dress shirts. Stone washed jeans should be avoided at all cost.

A style I like is the denim trouser. With slanted pockets like the ones you get in tailored pants, denim trousers give you options and flexibility and are can even take you to the office. Again fit is important so be sure to check with the store if they offer alteration services.

The vintage Battle Jacket, or Kutte, was born when a metal fan disarmed his jean jacket and customized it with various sized band patches, studs, chains, ink and pins. Metal heads primarily preferred patches, while punks replaced or fused the denim with leather, adding studs and pins. The biggest patch is placed on the center of the back, usually representing the band the individual favors. In the early 1990s the metal melted in to a mass of multiple sub-genres, the fashion followed and the jacket eventually faded due to the popularity of long-sleeved shirts, military and army fatigues.

Where are all these jackets now, you ask? If you’re in a hardcore-artsy-crafty kinda mood, eBay has a consistent supply of vintage jean jackets and vintage band patches.

The best solution to this problem is often to buy them jeans. The average American has 6 pairs of jeans in their wardrobe, which is almost a pair for each day of the week! Jeans go with everything and can be dressed down and casual or can be worn with smart shoes and a shirt for smart-casual occasions. Boys can also wear jeans for doing more practical, every day activities such as riding their bikes, skateboarding, rollerblading or even shooting some hoops! Jeans for boys are usually stone-washed which makes them feel and look worn out. Many boys choose to customize their jeans by cutting them and ripping them slightly, particularly around the knees. You can also buy sew on patches or iron on patches to put on jeans, again making them more individualized. Jeans are the perfect staple of any boy’s wardrobe, they are hard wearing, comfortable, reasonably priced and more importantly, they never go out of fashion and your boy will never look “so last century!”
